Last Friday, as part of our 2026 Winter School our Last Friday, as part of our 2026 Winter School our students had the opportunity to visit Wolt for an engaging morning hosted by the company’s Applied Science team.
We heard from EDISS alumna Motunrayo Ibiyo, who shared her journey and insights from her experience at Wolt, providing a valuable perspective for current students.
This was followed by a talk from Nicolas Jovianto, who discussed his path from international student to Software Engineer at Wolt, highlighting the opportunities and challenges encountered along the way.
In the technical session, Kasimir Aula delivered an insightful presentation on “ML in Product Development: Value, Trade-offs, and Challenges,” offering a behind-the-scenes view of how machine learning is integrated into real-world product development.
The visit concluded with an open Q&A session between EDISS students and the Applied Science team, followed by lunch and pizza networking —a great opportunity to continue discussions and build connections.
A big thank you to the team at Wolt for hosting our students and sharing their expertise!
