This video documents a unique academic and cultural experience during the EDISS Winter School held in Lapland, Finland. The journey began in Rovaniemi with a visit to the Santa Claus Village before continuing to Inari, where the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programme organised an intensive winter school for EDISS students. Set against the Arctic landscape, the event marked a key moment in the programme, as students explored their academic interests and selected their specialisation tracks for the following year.
During the winter school, students engaged in presentations and academic sessions covering the programme’s specialisation areas: Industrial Machine Learning, Model-Driven Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. Beyond the academic content, the week fostered strong connections among students through a variety of outdoor and social activities, blending learning with exploration and teamwork.
The experience highlights the distinctive EDISS approach, combining high-level academic training, international collaboration, and memorable cultural immersion within the Erasmus Mundus framework.
