Why I chose EDISS: preparing to work in a data-driven world

In this interview, Melih explains his motivation for applying to the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programme in Engineering of Data-intensive Intelligent Software Systems, EDISS.

He highlights the rapid growth of data generated by modern digital systems—from social media and online searches to large-scale intelligent applications—and the increasing need for professionals capable of designing, managing, and analysing such data effectively.

Recognising this shift towards data-driven technologies, he chose EDISS for its strong focus on data-intensive systems and intelligent software. His reflection underscores the programme’s relevance for students who aspire to build careers at the intersection of data, intelligence, and large-scale software systems.
