Aarohi shares her experience of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme in the Engineering of Data-intensive Intelligent Software Systems, highlighting the strong sense of community and personal growth fostered throughout the programme.
She describes how the diverse, international cohort quickly became a close-knit “family away from home,” making both academic life and everyday experiences more engaging and meaningful. Informal moments—such as celebrating birthdays, playing board games, and gathering in shared spaces—emerge as some of her most cherished memories, underscoring the importance of peer connections in the EDISS journey.
The alumna emphasizes the value of approaching the programme with an open and learning-oriented mindset, embracing challenges not only in the classroom but also in personal and professional life as an international student.
She reflects on how EDISS helped her develop essential soft skills, including communication, presentation, and pitching, which proved instrumental in securing and succeeding in her current role as a graduate at Nordea.
Academically, EDISS introduced her to the fields of data science and artificial intelligence, inspiring her to explore emerging subfields such as explainable AI and AI regulation. Looking ahead, she envisions a continued career in data science and AI, progressing toward a senior position while building on the strong foundation provided by EDISS.
