In his first year in the Erasmus Mundus EDISS programme, Vinay describes a motivating and engaging academic journey shaped by research, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
A highlight of the year was the Winter School at Mälardalen University, which combined intensive learning with a strong sense of community. Academically, he was involved in a research-oriented project on task allocation in distributed embedded systems using reinforcement learning, gaining early exposure to advanced methods at the intersection of artificial intelligence and embedded systems.
Reflecting on his experience, he encourages incoming EDISS students to remain open to diverse cultures and ideas, to commit fully to their studies, and to make the most of the unique opportunities for learning and enjoyment offered by the programme.
