Mira has dreamed about studying abroad since middle school and is now sharing her story and EDISS journey with us.
Mira, a student from Kazakhstan, shares her journey of joining the EDISS master’s programme. Focused on the intersection of Software Engineering and Data Science, including Machine Learning, EDISS offers students a truly international experience: the first year in Turku, Finland, followed by a choice of specializations in Sweden, Spain, or Italy. Mira is currently completing her second year in Spain.
Her path to EDISS was unconventional, marked by persistence and determination. Despite early setbacks with studying abroad due to COVID-19 and limited opportunities, she continued pursuing international education. Mira applied late to master’s programmes but found her place in EDISS, a programme that immediately responded to her application and offered her a fully-funded opportunity she describes as life-changing.
