As part of the Data Intensive Engineering course, As part of the Data Intensive Engineering course, we held today the second presentation session for our Intake 5 students.
This course is a research-driven, project-based experience that spans the entire academic year, giving students the opportunity to engage deeply with real research challenges. This year’s projects focus on the following topics: 👇
- AI-Assisted Compression and Visualisation of Molecular Dynamics Data
- XRAI and Beyond – Understanding the themes of explainable AI while developing real-time explainable AI-based clinical reports
- Developing an offline LLM Assistant for Bioinformatics Pipelines in the COHESIVE platform 
- Integrating Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks and Evolutionary Game Theory for Interpretable Cancer Dynamics and Biologically Plausible Equation Discovery
- Battery health analysis of a very distributed Virtual Power Plant
